17,073 new cases and a 45 percent increase in the daily COVID count in India

 The weekly positivity rate was 3.39 percent, compared to the daily positivity rate of 5.62 percent.

India recorded 17,073 new instances of Covid in the past day, bringing the country's total to 4,34,07,046, a rise of 45% over yesterday.

On Sunday, the country saw a maximum of 11,739 new cases of Covid-19 and 25 fatalities.

According to figures updated at 8 am by the Union Health Ministry, the death toll has increased to 5,25,020 with 21 new fatalities.

According to the statement, the weekly positivity rate was 3.39 percent and the daily positivity rate was 5.62 percent.

4,27,87,606 persons have recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate has been reported as 1.21 percent.

The ministry reports that the statewide Covid-19 immunization campaign has so far resulted in the administration of 197.11 crore doses of vaccine throughout the nation.
